Yes, there's a difference in what is the right in front of your eyes (actual experience) and thoughts about it. One is real, the other is not.
So now, sit quietly and relax, take your time just looking at what is the in front of you for a while.
Notice how the mind is dividing and labelling everything. Giving things names and forming stories about what they are.
Just notice this, more than once it you can (at different times).
Let me know what you find.

I was just looking around and found some things like pillow, table, tube light also smell of food which I was eating that time...
As I am experiencing those things suddenly too many thoughts about those things comes in my mind... I don't know how to describe those thoughts....most of them are irrelevant to the stuff I was experiencing but still they got initiated by smell of the food and the things I was looking around me or may be not...
And I know my msg doesn't make any sense but so do my thoughts to me hahaha
Hope you get it

Good Morning, Meet,
Thanks for your response.
Your message does make sense! - You're finding that thoughts happen quickly and are hard to pin down. And are often not that relevant! Yes!

Let's explore the nature of thoughts some more.
Put a cup in front of you
Look at it using your sight only
Now tell me:
1. What do you know about it only from the evidence of the senses?
2. What is added by thought?

Let me know what you find.

Please let me know promptly if it's unclear
Sioned

From my sight only I can see that cup is at certain distance from me,
I can see it's color, shape...

Good, anything else?
What is added by thought?

Added by thought : grab the cup and look for more details.. Also while I am looking at cup.. Thoughts are like repeating the fact I am observing like cup is white in color and also some irrelevant thoughts

Hi Meet,
I like the way you've noticed your mind wanting to grab the thought and look for more details. Also that you noticed that some of the thoughts are irrelevant. Great! There is the actual real experience of the cup, and then the thoughts about the cup. They are two separate things: do you see that?
If I was to tell you that Batman was real, could you see him in the room right now?
Can you see the difference between the real and the imagined?

And i can see the difference between real and thoughts of the experience... Real is kinda of already happening in front of me and thoughts just do the aftermath of it using my older memories and all

Hi Meet,
Now tell me how "I" - your self- is experienced. What can it do? Does it have a location in the body?
Does it have a size, shape, or colour?
Sioned
