Okay, let's see if this works..

I am Angry
My thinking is angry
I am not angry
I should not be angry
I am calm, open and satisfied, welcoming
I am outgoing, loving, interested
I am focused, relaxed, receptive

I am surprised by anger
I am sad about anger
Yahoo! I am angry!

I am willing to experience anger as it arises in daily life
I am willing to experience anger in regards to seeing no me.
I am not willing to experience anger in regards to mo me.
I am willing to experience anger as no me.

Mostly good TAs.

I removed the ones that aren't Turn Arounds.

Please do 3 proofs for the ones below.
I am Angry
My thinking is angry
I am not angry
You really only need one opposite. Pick one from below & give 3 proofs for that one.
I am calm, open and satisfied, welcoming
I am outgoing, loving, interested
I am focused, relaxed, receptive
Please offer 3 proofs for this one:
Yahoo! I am angry!
You don't need these. Most are not TAs because they change the original stressful thought.
I am surprised by anger
I am sad about anger.

It would be fine to prove one "I am willing..."

I am willing to experience anger as it arises in daily life
I am willing to experience anger in regards to seeing no me.
I am not willing to experience anger in regards to mo me.
I am willing to experience anger as no me.

Please post 3 proofs for each per the examples.

Thank you!
~ Stacy

Please post 3 proofs for each per the examples.
I am Angry
My thinking is angry
I am not angry
I am peaceful.
I am angry at my thinking.
My thinking is peaceful.
I am not my thinking.
Thinking is not angry.
I am calm, open and satisfied, welcoming
I am never calm, open, satisfied, welcoming.
I am agitated and unwelcoming.
Calm, open satisfied and welcoming ARE.
Yahoo! I am angry!
Yahoo! I am not angry!
Yahoo! Anger is not me!
Yahoo! I am peaceful!
I am willing to experience anger as it arises in daily life
I am willing to experience my daily life as it arises.
I am willing to suppress anger as it arises in daily life.
I am willing to experience happiness as it arises in daily life.

Hi Dana

Those are more Turn Arounds.
Give 3 proofs of each one.

Reply with those, please, so we can both keep track
This is not understood.
Here's an example:

I am peaceful.

Proof

1. I feel calm
2. My heart rate is steady.
3. My muscles are relaxed.

You prove the Turn Arounds with examples like that.

Sorry if it wasn't clear. Go back to my last post & just prove those.

Some proofs become actions you can take. It's called "living the turn arounds."

Is that clearer?

Much love,
~ Stacy

I am Angry
My thinking is angry
I am not angry
#1 I am peaceful
My attention is at ease
My breathing is steady

#2 My thinking is beautiful
Thinking is welcomed
Anger is welcomed

#3
I am not angry
I am angry
I am both
Both are welcomed
I am calm, open and satisfied, welcoming
I am in the cafe
I eat a muffin
I study my lesson
Yahoo! I am angry!
I hate this
I breath deeply
I meditate
My chest is bursting
I am willing to experience anger as it arises in daily life
I breath whatever is arising
I welcome emotions
Emotions are not enemies

So I see that there are other emotions arising here..like hatred of hatred..or hatred of my hatred. Which is kind of a cul de sac. Though these emotions are difficult, they don't prevent me from Looking. Being triggered blocks Looking. And I'm doing Okay there...

Hi Dana,

I thought I had replied to your last, and either it didn't post or I didn't reply.

Looking at this now. Not sure where to go next.

Hi Stacy, thanks for your message. You have sent me this link in the past but I will review. Stacy, would you please send me some feedback? For example, if you talked to your co worker about me as a student, what would you say? Otherwise, I watch a video of this kind and end up wondering or guessing as to the message you are intending for me.

Sincerely,
Dana

Hi,

The message is simply to look.

I'm not going to say anything about the meaningless content of thoughts that may arise.

Just LOOK. That's really all there is.

The exercises suggest looking at specific things in specific ways. Maybe that keeps this mind happy, but maybe it's just distracting.

LOOK

Pick any exercise you like. Do it again & post about it here by sometime tomorrow. You have everything you need to SEE & more.

Loving,
~ Stacy

What is direct experience......
An image..a box on the desk
fingertips and keys joining somewhere..a sensation..tips of fingers
a sensation..belows..chest rising..coldness of air and sensing on the arm..
thoughts..thoughts "thinking"
numbers on a page..imaging...f5...f5...
being...what's that?...another thought?....a sensation felt...where?...What does DE say?...DEs answer is silence.

This is conceptual
DE is like a arrow, or a light that visables (not a word)...what...itself? All in its path? But it doesn't have a path. Nevertheless...it is there..or here. There is no location. Oh yeah...it's Truth. You might say that everything that it touches..everything that gets near it is "Truthed". Made aware. So that's the secret of awakening.

Hi Dana

Which exercise are you doing?

Please quote it at the top.

Direct (or Actual) Experience is

Seeing
Hearing
Touching
Tasting
Smelling
Thought Arising (but not the content)

I'm having trouble following what you wrote. It reads more like poetry than the answer to any of our exercises.

Please quote the exercise & let's try again.

Thank you,
~ Stacy

Cup Exercise

See clearly the size, shape, color and volume of the cup. Notice whether it is decorated or plain. Notice whether it has a handle. Notice whether it is heavy or fragile.
Do you have a clear picture in mind?
Yes
Now, can you physically grasp that image of a cup?
No
Can you pour tea into it?
No
Can you drink from it?
No

Is there a "real" cup or just an image of a cup?
An image
Is there an appearing mental image?
Yes

Is the content of the mental image (the cup) "real?" Yes
The thoughts and mental images are real only as arising thoughts and mental images, their "presence' cannot be denied. However their contents, what are they about are not "real," they are just fantasies. Can you see this?
Yes

Over the course of the next day or so, I'd like you to notice the content of thoughts.

Whenever there is an arising thought or mental image, check whether its content (what it’s about) is really happening, or the content is just pure imagination.

Let me know how it goes.
