over here, steadihut

Postby Richard B. » Tue Oct 04, 2011 2:55 pm

First thing: when asked to point at what would be considered the core or intrinsic part of steadihut, where would you point?

If you're talking literally, I'd point at my chest, meaning on the inside. That's where the feeling of me is, there and sometimes in the head. Though it's true as I sit with this awhile, I don't really find a me outside of the grasping feeling and thoughts that identify themselves as a me.

Are you your body? Please explain.

Only in thoughts and feelings is there a me. But there must be a me that see's that. So I must be that which see's the thought and feels the feeling, else how would they be known. The noticer is me, though I can't actually identify it because who is noticing the noticer...it's like pointing a mirror at a mirror. I'm kind of stumped...crap, but who is it that is stumped? I'm not going to find one am I? If I had to answer, I'd have to say whoever is looking is me, or noticing. Still can't point to it directly though.

There are thoughts, feelings, senses, a seer, a feeler, a noticer and an observer. All functions/ creations of the brain and mind. Yes or no? If thoughts, sensations and feelings are mind created and observed, why is the sense of steadihut any different?

Good question...who is stumped?

Well, I assumed there was a feeler, senser, noticer, observer and that being a me simply because there is feeling, sensing etc. But, it doesn't hold up to observation. This observing doesn't find an observer...just kind of melts away into observing. So, to the degree that mind is creating all this, I can't see past the mind having created this idea of a me. Unless all this is word games, which it is because words are mind created, then there is no me that can be found. There are feelings of standing in quick sand now. Thanks alot buddy, lol. I was looking for something a little more solid, but I guess that's the mind.

Who is looking for something a little more solid?

There is life.
There is joy.
Everything still is.
Just no steadihut.

Are you there?

Hmmm, the "not you" is right, there is no "me". Anything added to that would be thought centering around thought. Any asking would be more thought inquiring about that thought. There is really no place for this to settle and be grasped...or rather nothing to grasp and no grasper...feelings come up but no feeler, just feelings. What is this occuring to other than awareness? I know, I know, who's asking...who wants to know.

Gone?...Apparently there never was a me. There is fear, space, anxiety, noticing but no me. Who's going to pay these income taxes then?

Ok. Just these last 2 questions to answer:

What is the self, how does it work?
How would you explain "no self" to somebody who had never heard of it?

Please ignore the last post and read this one insteadihut:

steadihut, if you care, or would like to be confirmed and have the name steadihut blue'd, then please answer the following questions. Write as much as you want, more is better.

Is there a steadihut in any shape or form?

What is the self and how does it work?

How does it feel to be liberated from the self?

What was most instrumental in helping it to be seen? Also, what gave the final push?

How could this be described to somebody who had never heard of no self before?
