There is just experience and no one to whom it happens- this is the best way of describing it. I don’t know what I am, but I know that something is happening. In some moods I can call all of this myself and in others I can say that it’s the world.

If someone told you that you have not really seen through self and you have not had an awakening, what reactions comes up?

I would probably become defensive initially- it would really depend on who is telling me this. Regardless, it is certainly possible. I think of awakening as happening in gradations, and I think some people have had much more profound experiences of selflessness than I have. In that sense, relative to them, I suppose I’m not really quite awakened at all. All I know is that I’ve felt clearly a merging of what I previously took to be me with what I used to think was everything else. The extent to which I continue to feel this fluctuates.

I might ask them to closely inspect the boundaries of what they consider to be them (their feeling of their body). I remember when I started meditating that the feeling of my arms didn’t seem to match where I physically knew them to be, but rather seemed to project outwards into the rest of the room I was in. The feeling of the merging of my physical body with everything else was the first thing that dispelled my own skepticism regarding spirituality.

There is experience. Where are you in experience?

You can say that I am nothing and that I am everything. The point is that the I is arbitrary, and doesn’t actually point to anything concrete in experience. There is just experience.

I don't know where you are at. A couple of guides are doubting : one says melon is stradding the gate but didn't go through it.
Others say, there is just an understanding. The problem is that you have forgotten the username of the original thread.

There are two possibilities :

First : Write something convincing about what happened during the "going through" the gate. Tell us something about the breaking point. What was before the breaking point and what is after this breaking point.

Second : you are going to go again through the whole LU stuff helping seeing through the illusion of a separate self.

I really can’t explain what happened to me expect that I felt without any boundaries. I looked around and saw that it was all me, and I still feel that way (when I actually look). Now, when I suffer, I remember to pay attention to the feeling of resistance and there is usually a dissipation of the suffering. I see that I am always looking at myself, that there is no center where I am located.

As you know, all what is seen, all what is heard, all what is smelt, all what is tasted, all what is felt as sensations, all feelings, all emotions, all thoughts, all mental images are happening in this immediacy. This is what is called experience. As you know, experience is changing, it is the nature of experience to change.

Question : are you aware of experience ?

Are you changing?

Is the experience aware of itself?

Is your body part of the experience?

Please, ponder on each question and elaborate on the answers to let the readers understand what you are pointing to. The point is : if you are not able to explain "what is pointed to" for guides, how can you explain it to new blues.
