Re: Feeling stuck and looking for some assistance.

Hi, We can walk together for a while, provided that you are ok with the setup here, which is: -I ask you questions, you look into them and work with them as best you can. -You commit to post every day or as close as possible. -Be as direct as possible, as too much background, thoughting and multiple...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

I like the "ooooh" component. It seems that you are recognizing, or have "seen" what we were looking to see. Self exists only in thoughts and labels. 1) Have you gone through the gateless gate? Is there any inner, separate self that exists? Tell me about where you are. . Felt sense of self cropping ...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi, n unmistakable action clearly demonstrating a moment where thoughts of self are not present, contrasting with all those other moments where they were. The experiment with reading, watching tv, doing dishes....if fact everything you do, involves moments when self is not present because thoughts o...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi, Ok, yes, it just hit me like a ton of bricks there was no "me" involved in looking. That was a great pointer. "Ah yes" moment is now occurring. . So there was no "me" involved in looking, and this was your experience....you caught this yourself and what was your first thought after that? Explain...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi, What is the meaning of the experiment? What is the meaning of it all? Just so happens you recently insisted this was the hangup... thoughts of *I* keep occurring because of being told *I* should *look*. The the idea of *I* (as the looker) appears, and then the idea that this *I* is looking for *...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Incidentally, when sitting down and looking for Santa (or evidence that Santa didn't exist), there was the thought this was absolutely the stupidest exercise ever. But looked, and found the same process occurring, the very same one that makes the "I" seem real. "Santa doesn't exist" > "Where is San...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

I have here what you originally posted, to remind you of what you are looking for. LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this? That the idea of "I", "self", "me" are concocted over time, and have become ideas that have taken a "life of their o...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi, I'll commit myself to "seeing" for the next few days, weeks(?), months(lol?) and let you know when something is perceived. The basic idea is to post every day. This works better that way. Unless you are giving up. It feels like hard work, the trying to see. I'm not used to it You are used to hav...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Very good.

Drop all of the "seems like" and you will be in a better place.

If you look up and see your friend at the supermarket, that moment of recognition is complete and without any "seems like".

Give yourself permission to trust your experiences directly.

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi Sandee, I'm getting the sense to say that more pointing is not needed, but deeper looking might be. This will help if you have a tendency to get close, be right there, then say "that can't be it". So think on my questions at a deep level. Spend time with them. You can even sit with them when you ...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi Sandee, No worries...family is good. What I am having an issue with is that it seems I can "conjure" an "I" by thinking it, and then having a feeling or pressure inside my body that feels like an "I". You said be direct.... Holy Shit Batman! You can conjure your "I' with thought! Joking and faux ...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

If I agree if there is no personal, self-directing "I", but there is something else--like an energy or life...is that good enough? First answer....No. Second...Good enough for what? Good enough for knowing? No. "Look, there is a Bigfoot in the bushes, do yo see it?" NO. Of course that's not good en...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi, Doing good. Watching the feeling, its like a tightness in either the chest or head area. It seems like it doesn't show up on its own...it follows the thought "I". If I say "I", there is the tightness again. "Me." There is the tightness. Energy. Am I just equating the "I" with this feeling? Ponde...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

Hi Sandee, Cruising right along here. The metal sign "Denver" is pointing to an area that was designated on a map as Denver. When you see the metal sign you pull out a map? When you are standing next to the sign, you "feel" Denver in front of you, and non-Denver behind you? At 30,000 ft, an airplane...

Re: Looking for a guide to help the process. Would appreciate any tips.

This is excellent! At the moment: "Wait! I never did question the BASE assumption that there was a 'me' in the first place. That actually would be the MORE rational step, rather than questioning the attempts to question it!" That is great understanding to have. You have never questioned it...always ...
