Re: Looking

Hi Samantha . Yes, but the mind is trying to find something to the contrary. :) I do see how the mind activity is fiction, however, and that the contents cannot be found in reality. I suppose I must ask you again whether or not you can say with a big fat 'Yes' that the illusion is seen? Technically ...

Re: Clarity

Hi Allen . Sometimes I think it's difficult for me to notice or look into thoughts. Either I'm not paying attention and lost in thought or I'm sitting there watching thoughts and not a whole lot comes. It's almost like I have to do something very deliberate, like consciously thinking about a choice ...

Re: A little pointing would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jay It has been a really strange experience all round, for everyone, I think, being in lockdown for so long and now coming out of that to 'normality'. . Based on the acquired understanding that I grew up with, there is an experience of separation. This may well be an idea but it's pretty convinci...

Re: Clarity

Hi Allen . It's not as if actions are not performed. Not as if jobs do not get done.? Sorry Jon, not sure what you meant here. Did you mean if actions are not performed jobs will not get done? No. It was in context and was in the context of the other things I was saying before and after it. I was po...

Re: Looking

Ok Samantha

Thank you.

Are there any doubts or confusion about 'self'?

Is there a 'self' here right now?

Is there a 'self' anywhere in experience?

Was there ever one?

Will there ever be one?

:-)

Re: Seeking with playfulness and curiosity

Hello again Claire, Thanks for writing again. Yes. I agree it's very nice to connect. Sometimes the LU Facebook pages can be very quiet. It's nice to learn a bit more about your name, your experience with OSHO and Tantra. . I was curious if this is what you describe as a 'darker' part of life? (By t...

Re: A little pointing would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jay, Waiting for a good time to go out into nature might delay things. You should still do it if possible but let's look also at what you said here : . Visually there may be no separation but physically it appears that there is. That's if it is imagined that there is 'I' that literally inhabits a...

Re: Clarity

Hi Allen Given what you've said about thinking about 'doing an action' and then that action taking place and this makes it seem as though there is an 'I' that plans and 'does' things, let's investigate this. It's not as if there is no planning. Thoughts are often busy in this way. Does this seem tru...

Re: Clarity

Hi Allen . When I'm doing something it seems like my thoughts are kind of imagining me as the doer. But this is very subtle to me because it isn't a verbal thought. I think I barely notice it. It's difficult to see. I'm not really used to being aware of this type of thought. No worries. I asked you ...

Re: A little pointing would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jay. I did not experience 'anxiety' as such either during my guiding conversation except for one short moment of terror. Some sort of fear is very common. I suggest that you do wait for a suitable opportunity to try the exercise I suggested, which can only be done properly outside. Regards Jon

Re: Clarity

Hello Allen . The result wasn't a surprise because I had read some inquiries and part of the Gateless Gate Crashers book prior to beginning this inquiry with you. I know there isn't supposed to be a "chooser", "doer", "seer", etc. Does this hinder the inquiry? Aha! That is why I asked. Because you w...

Re: A little pointing would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jay How is it going with the anxiety? Has there been an easing of anxiety about 'crashing'? No woukd be a very good time to try the following exercise... Find some time to go for a walk in nature. This could be by the sea, in the countryside or even a local park. Somewhere with trees, some open s...
