Re: SamK
The no self cannot be veiled. I sometimes have a belief around a separate self and an expectation that it needs to be dissolved. This expectation is also seen, isn't it? Can you find this one which sees? Is there something or someone, or is there just looking? The melon vanished when I opened my ey...
Re: SamK
There is no separate self, but I cannot know this, because it is veiled by thought. What is veiled by thought? The "no-separate-self"? Do you expect that there is a „no-self“ which can be seen or known? There is neither a separate „I“ nor a „no-I“... :) A little exercise. Close your eyes and imagin...
Re: SamK
I want to not seek How does this „seeking“ look like in direct experience? What of the search can you see-hear-feel? Could it be that this seeking is just another story told by thoughts? and to deepen my sense of knowing right now. There is nothing more to know than you actually know. Who or what w...
Re: SamK
Love this. A great exercise. Great job with the body experiment :) Do this as often it comes in mind, you can do it also in everyday life, check sometimes if there is a border anywhere or if there is a body at all if you not think about it... :) Nothing is missing. If nothing is missing, what are y...
Re: SamK
Sensations can be labelled in many ways by the mind. Essentially the bodily experiences are often similar. I like the idea of investigating what labels pop up in different contexts. The curiosity takes away the expectation to try and capture positive feelings. Great :) Thought in disguise. Is it al...
Re: SamK
I’ve booked an hr on this tomorrow. Back on track.
Apologies Barb. It’s been an interesting time getting into a massively new routine.
Thanks again. This is very helpful and powerful pointer.
Cheers Sam.

I cant find what the fear of death is made of when I put it under the spotlight. With extra scrutiny...maybe it is just a story. It would be a good idea if you observe emotions during your day, and try to find out what they are made of. Not out of memories, only if they are actually present. No mat...
Re: SamK
In answer to your question. The fear of death would be helpful. The first time I've read your post, I didn't really check what you've meant with this. A thought came up: „Great, Sam had the insight that fear of death would be helpful“... Haha :) And yes, fear of death is really helpful, it helps th...

Re: SamK
I need nothing in order to be and let life unfold. Sounds great! What would you say where do we stand since the beginning of our conversation? Is there something you want to have a look at? Here I have another nice experiment for you: Sit at home with eyes closed. In your mind, imagine going to the...
Re: SamK
It’s funny I can’t find the I that makes the decision. It feels like there is a chooser, but I can’t find the I. How does this feeling look like? Where in the body is the sensation? Or is this just a story told by conditioned thoughts? I didn’t decide to pick up the drink. It just unfolded. Day to ...
Re: SamK
The seeing of the Apple; I can’t pin point a precise location of the Apple. It feels like behind the eyes. Is this true? What can you find with direct experience of this “feels like behind the eyes”? Look! Is there a feeling of apple-seeing? I’m just seeing experience. Look carefully if this is tru...
Re: SamK
Great! Beautifully seen with the thought experiment... :) The problem is, that sometimes it doesn't matter very much if this is seen, as long as there is still belief in thought content. Here is another wonderful experiment to check this out: Let's see what the difference is between direct experien...
Re: SamK
The separate self is taking credit for something that doesn’t belong to it. Is this true? How can something that does not exist take credit for something? Or is this just thought content? Can this thought content be confirmed with direct experience? There is no “my music” ; just sound and the illus...
Re: SamK
I see how it happens instantly. I can see there is resistance to let go of our labelling machine . Great! Is it necessary to let go of the labeling machine? Is it not enough to see how it happens? It’s so compelling but at the same time never fully nourishing. I love when I can sense a hidden power...
